The Endgame

Last week was about reducing noise. This week, strangely enough, the outside world got louder. While KCM has been compressing its internal priorities, the opposite has happened around us: more invitations, more inbound interest, more people asking where they fit. Good timing.

Because the week of the 12th is now shaping up exactly as intended.

Structure

The administrative sequence is no longer open-ended. The current timeline for this upcoming game week is:

14 Oct → Clearance Meeting
15/16 Oct → Expected Release + Implementation
Then → PSC → Accounts → Share Issue → Records

The important shift is that everything substantive is now resolved from our side.

So this and next week are not another planning window.

It is execution week.

Product

The 2027 pilot remains downstream, but the engineering work no longer has to wait for it. That is a considerably better problem to have, although in corporate lingo we of course only have challenges; a problem is just an issue unaddressed.

Mk-X remains around the Stage II → Stage III transition, while the more important movement at the moment is around execution capacity, and clean books.

Pilot WP1, Preliminary Concepting and Design, is intended to commence this year, with both project management and technical leadership now assigned. Kick-off follows in the week of 19 October.

The 2027 pilot remains downstream, but the work no longer has to wait for it.

Digital

Final continuation packages are prepared across the current group. The emerging Software function will inherit real work and enable our own agentic scaling:

  • engineering-document intelligence

  • evidence traceability

  • retrieval and agentic workflows

  • technical knowledge systems

  • validation and decision-support tooling

The next step is simply to turn people, software and research into an operating unit.

The IP-transfer route is already established.

On a digital side note: our Meta Verified subscription has expired, and we’ve chosen not to renew. It’s not that Instagram is for girls, as a certain billionaire tweeted, but it’s certainly not built for engineering. You can still follow our story at www.instagram.com/truekusnierz. We just won’t pay Meta another year for the privilege of brain-rot endorsement.

R&D

The CHIIR Industry Track paper is progressing toward ACM submission, with KCM participation now formalised and the publication work continuing alongside ECIR.

Uni collaborations are focused on research and independent technical validation.

Different outputs, same rule:

Research → Evidence → Decision

Ecosystem

While we slowed expansion ambitions internally, externally the opposite happened:

University of Southampton Science Park personally invited KCM to the Festival of Innovation, including a complimentary guest place and an invitation to visit the new Infinity Labs facilities.

Tech Nation and Sage invited us directly to the Scaling AI Responsibly programme.

Barclays Eagle Labs wants us at the Entrepreneurs Festival 2026.

The Business Show London has invited us back to ExCeL.

Then the White & Private Label Expo also invited KCM for 11–12 November.

Not every invitation changes the company, but together they give hope:

Research → Talent → Infrastructure → Capital → Market

For a company deliberating, demand has become expansionary.

Operations

The next two weeks now look unusually clean:

14 Oct: tax-related clearance meeting
15/16 Oct: expected banking implementation
Mid-Oct: corporate sequence and Q4 Summary preparation
15–19 Oct: continuation agreements moving to signature
W/C 19 Oct: WP1 mobilisation → MTC project kick-off
29 Oct: Tech Nation + Sage
2–6 Nov: Barclays Entrepreneurs Festival
6 Nov: UK National Quantum Technologies Showcase
11–12 Nov: Business Show London & White & Private Label Expo

Alongside that, our Notion for Startups application is moving through its final setup step, with the programme carrying more than $12,000 in software value.

And somewhere inside all of that, preferably, some engineering.

Outlook

There is an asymmetry developing. Internally, the company is becoming narrower:

Fewer dependencies.
Fewer unfinished structures.
Fewer competing priorities.

Externally, the opportunity set is getting wider. The goal was never to collect partnerships, programmes and invitations indefinitely. It was to build enough substance that useful things begin finding us. Low regulatory burden, presumably.

For now, though, the board looks considerably better than that.

Where no one chooses their cross, yet everyone has to carry it:
The endgame is visible

Energy. Time. The Future.
