Array Efficiency Comparison:
Small vs. Large Scale Application
THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS AN EXCERPT FROM OUR MOST RECENT ADAPTABILITY STUDY
The PSCB flexible sheet concept involves constructing an array of piezoelectric cells, interconnected by conductive layers, and encapsulated in flexible, durable polymers. These sheets can be scaled and shaped to fit diverse applications, from microelectronics to large industrial machinery. This flexibility, combined with their lightweight nature, makes them suitable for industrial and energy sectors, providing a scalable and sustainable energy solution.
Creating an array:
Each rod is placed on the flexible substrate in a grid-like pattern, ensuring each rod is spaced out and evenly distributed. The rods can be laid flat or placed standing vertically.
Connection between cells:
Printed conductive traces or metallic wires to connect individual rods, ensuring consistent energy flow. Multiple rods can be connected in parallel or series for different configurations.
