Momentum Maintained
Just a couple of weeks past our first full year mark, KCM moves quietly but with unmistakable velocity. The vertical split is done, our engineering core is focused, and new doors have opened, not least from a resounding performance at the Space Tech Expo. Here’s what’s next, what’s real, and what we’re refining.
🚀Expo Traction
Part of our team returned from the USA Space Tech Expo 2025 in Long Beach with more than just handshakes and business cards.
Propulsion Pitch Validated: Our technical presentation on advanced propulsion architectures drew high-level interest from sector primes and dual-use procurement leads. The message is clear: KCM’s approach to modular energy and propulsion is not only credible, but competitive. Q&A resulted in multiple inbound follow-up requests—more than enough to justify accelerated roadmap commitments. We will officially release the joint development R&D timeline, along with the Website overhaul, next week.
Bremen, We’re Ready: With the Bremen sister event (EU Space Tech Expo) ahead in November, we’re already lining up new product validation opportunities and preparing for deeper collaborative talks in the European ecosystem.
🏭Split Complete
As of June, the vertical decoupling of KCM Defense and KCM Tech is structurally and operationally complete:
KCM Defense: Standing alone, LLC incorporation for the U.S. is in motion for Q3, and the new public domain launch is imminent.
KCM Tech: Focus has zeroed in on production, process engineering, and quality systems for our core modules, especially as demand signals from the Expo continue.
Process Maturity: Our internal documentation, traceability, and data integrity procedures have now reached the standard required for both deep-tech investors and industrial buyers.
ISO Certification Preparation: We are progressing towards formal ISO certification. Details and a provisional timeline will be shared by the end of June. This milestone is crucial for scaling both in Europe and internationally, particularly as strategic partners are now formally requesting it during due diligence processes.
📈Operations
Production & Quality: Mk-0 Demonstrators have all been delivered or are in final QA. Internal QA yields have improved further post-Expo, with a second limited batch now under consideration for select partners only. Oh yeah, and we'll get the Photoshoot out of the way within the next 14 days, as it's been a challenge to align engraving and camera work scheduling.
Mk-I Progress: Architecture review and BOM lock are underway. We will provide a comprehensive Mk-I build schedule upon completion of ongoing negotiations with our pilot partners. Expect the Iterations to update by the end of this week.
Accounts & Asset Position: Details in our Investors Area.
🌐Community
eWorks Accelerator: Our participation in the Barcelona cohort has yielded new EU funding leads and partnership channels. Early outcomes include several non-dilutive grant opportunities and new connections in the defense-tech and cleantech communities. However, we might cancel at the last minute; more on that in next week’s update.
Stakeholder Communication: As previously stated, our public cadence has been reduced; day-to-day and investor-level updates will continue through private channels and the new data room.
Upcoming:
July: Paper bond program launch and ISO certification briefing
November: Bremen Space Tech Expo, EU debut for our next-gen propulsion stack
Ongoing: KCM Defense public domain launch with U.S. LLC formation preparation
🌟Final Word
Validation is nice, but we know what matters is what we build next.
KCM is now an execution company. The narrative moves into the details—process, product, compliance, and delivery. The art remains, but now it’s in the systems.
Stay tuned. The next phase is underway.
