SUMMERTIME MADNESS
As June closes, we’re pausing—for just a moment—to take stock of the road we’ve traveled since spring. This weekly cycle marks another point of cohesion: regulatory compliance, asset injection, audit confirmation, and engagement with Innovate UK have all landed where they needed to. The mission now: align, improve, and prepare for what’s next.
📑 Keeping Track
Collateral In Place: Our capital statement, now ratified and on file, anchors KCM’s balance sheet and has facilitated institutional onboarding.
VAT & Audit Confirmed: All UK tax and banking structures are locked; Revolut audit, HMRC number, and cash positions remain stable and transparent.
Innovate UK Involvement: We’re contributing to the national research strategy, strengthening our position as a bankable, innovation-driven company.
🏛️ July Outlook
A month of dual clarity and accountability:
Hall of Friends / Hall of Shame: We’re preparing a retrospective of key partners, milestones, and blockers—celebrating what worked and calling out where we must improve.
LLC Incorporation: With KCM Defense LLC (Delaware) approaching, we’re preparing a comprehensive internal audit with the main goal of defining deliverables, identifying potential risks, and what must change before our transatlantic scale-up.
⚙️ Roadmap Realities
We’d be lying if we said every system, document, or workflow has kept pace with our ambition.
Delays: Onboarding, roadmap finalization, and certain technical rollouts are a few weeks behind schedule, but nothing unexpected or unmanageable.
Focus: The gap between “minimum requirements” and “KCM standard” is closing, though not yet closed. July is when we hit hyperdrive.
🏭 MSEC 2025, Clemson, SC
Insights from June 23–26, at MSEC 2025 (Manufacturing Science & Engineering Conference). As a gathering point for the latest in manufacturing science, digital production, and automation, MSEC gave us direct exposure to leading research and technology trends in intelligent production systems and advanced materials. While we were just visiting as guests, our team is actively networking, meeting industry partners, and exchanging ideas on the future of smart manufacturing. The conference was a valuable checkpoint in our journey, fueling ongoing projects, benchmarking our tech stack, and keeping our R&D aligned with the broader innovation ecosystem.
🧪 Research Teaser
Piezoelectric Laser-Induced Plasma Engine (PLIPE) Thrusters
Conceived at the recent USA Space Tech Expo and now moving to stakeholder alignment, our PLIPE Thrusters research initiative is set to run in parallel with the ongoing scale-up of our battery platform. The vision: merging the basic principles of piezoelectricity, laser excitation, and plasma propulsion to create thruster technology with unprecedented efficiency and interoperability.
We strive to forge connections that outlast ourselves. Just as the Curie brothers pioneered piezoelectric technology, we aim to transform the “impossible” into the practical—shaping a future with fewer reasons for frustration, and more for optimism. On that note, enjoy the summer!
🌟 Final Word
Despite no headline events in July, the process is cumulative, and our momentum is built in the details. We will keep pace, sharpen our systems, and prepare to move into hyperdrive as the summer accelerates. As always, our execution is measured not in announcements but in delivery and stability.
Thanks for staying with us—watch for the Q3 leap.
