📊 Audit & Halls
As promised, July is audit month. We’re in the process of dissecting every workflow, handshake, and line item—sharpening our definition of what “excellence” or at least good enough means at KCM. The retrospective is well underway and scheduled for release later this month. It’s an honest look at partners, decisions, and inflection points: a record of what moved us forward and what held us back for a moment.
🏛️ Organizational Refactoring
On the other side of the pond, KCM Defense LLC (Delaware) inches toward operational readiness. Internal audits and deliverable reviews are ongoing—sometimes slower than we’d like, but always with an eye for quality over speed. This process isn’t glamorous, but it’s the precondition for robust transatlantic execution. Every onboarding and roadmap delay is a beneficial learning curve.
⚙️ Technical Iteration
Roadmap finalization for the Mk-I architecture, and QA cycles continue as parallel tracks, iteration remains the KCM default mode. While the technical schedule may not always match our ambitions, the gap between expectation and delivery narrows week by week. We will have a realistic outlook on the integration of all Demonstrator Insights will be published in the next few days as well!
🔬 R&D Thread: Beyond
Stakeholder alignment for our Piezoelectric research into the Piezoelectric Laser-Induced Plasma Engine (PLIPE) initiative continues in the background, running in parallel with core battery tech development and upcoming accelerator engagement in focus. The spirit is simple: invent and iterate for lasting value.
🌐 Events & Community
We’ve made a strategic call: both ICEEE 2025 (July 20) and ICRAETS 2025 (July 28) have been cancelled from our agenda. These conferences, while prestigious, no longer align with our summer priorities.
Instead, KCM Defense will attend the SAE-Media Military Robotics and Autonomous Systems USA 2025 (July 9–11), synchronizing with the kickoff of our new domain and U.S. LLC incorporation. The team will be present to make it the first KCM Defense event, underscoring our dual-anchor vertical and commitment to next-gen autonomy and robotics. The rest of the event calendar remains targeted and selective, with the next major public push in Bremen at the EU Space Tech Expo this November.

There’s no drama—just the summer of “fixing the plumbing.” Every audit, every candid assessment, every process check brings us closer to operational integrity and true usefulness. July may be short on headlines, but it’s long on substance. Hyperdrive starts with realignment.
